All About Me*
As I sit here this morning eating my peanut butter toast trying to be as quiet as possible as the Hubster is still sleeping (I’m letting him sleep in today… he’s earned it) I decided to borrow Veggie Carrie‘s little survey! So, without further ado… Four jobs I’ve had:1) I am an assistant coordinator for a tutoring program at my university2) Literacy teacher3) Retail (Payless Shoes)4) Office Assistant for an insurance company B) Four films that I can watch again and again:1) Most musicals (The Music Man, Sound of Music Oklahoma, State Fair, My Fair Lady, The King and I, etc etc etc)2) Sleepless in Seattle3) White Christmas4) You’ve Got…

My Tribe*
I have a secret. And I’m going to share. Yesterday was a really great day. I had my favourite class (Modern German History) with my most favourite prof in the entire world, and we discussed Maus I & II. If you are interested in studying the Holocaust, I highly recommend reading these texts. They are graphic novels that tell an extremely powerful story of an Auschwitz survivor and the rocky relationship between a father and son as a result. They moved me so much that I actually had to stop reading at two specific points and walk away for a bit. Also, the Hubster’s parents came up for the afternoon!…

Back to the Classics*
I heart Mozart. More specifically, I am in love with Symphony No. 40 in G Minor. I had COMPLETELY forgotten about this piece… and I used to know it so well that I could play it by…

The Meeting* (Chapter Two)
I last wrote about the very first time that M and I saw each other. Tonight I’ll tell you how we actually met several weeks later. So. In the weeks that followed after the dance I saw the (future at this point) Hubs around, but as I hadn’t actually met him, and didn’t know any of the people that he associated with, we hadn’t met. Now this is the part of the story where my cousin (Lil G) and M’s best friend (Too Kool) love to take credit for our marriage. You see, in 2002 Too Kool was called to serve a mission in Colorado for two years. As his…

Snow Mountains*
So I promised that I would post pictures of the massive snowfall we had on the weekend. This one was actually taken by my mother-in-law and is just SO much better than the ones I took! Snow banks have taken on a new name: snow mountains. Let me introduce you to Toby, their dog… if you can find him. haha! These next ones are of my balcony / parking lot. Out balcony had NO snow on it Friday morning. Now there is almost a foot. This was after the big John Deer tractors had to come clear out the parking lot on Sunday morning. Everyone was absolutely snowed in. I…
