The House: Week 1*
Oh heeeeey. Who knew that five days could feel like a year? Seriously. Last week feels like a total dream… but here’s a tiny glimpse of what we’ve been up to since I last posted: Saturday: Moving Day The most amazing group of people showed up at our door bright and early Saturday morning (8am) and helped us move from our apartment into our new house. We were mostly packed–there were just a few odds and ends laying around–but for the most part it was a smooth transition from apartment – truck – house. We had everything moved in by noon, and had the rest of the day to begin…

The House: Day 3*
Today I… Worked at my favourite school. Grocery shopped on my way home. Packed / cleaned my bedroom. Packed my office. Took a load of food and clothes to the new house, along with dinner for the Hubster and his friends there helping. Organized the boxes already at the house. Picked up a parcel at Shoppers Drug Mart. Bought more cleaning supplies at Dollarama. Packed the rest of my dry food. Packed all my dishes. Cleaned my fridge. Cleaned my oven. (attempt #1) …and now I wait for the cleaner to work its magic a second time. I am so excited to have a house… but I am beyond excited…

The House: Day 2*
Windows. Lots and lots of windows. I really didn’t think it was possible for windows to get so dirty. Like, half a centimeter of grime dirty. Ew. Thankfully, I have the best neighbours in the world. :) Tired. I have a house. :)

The House: Day 1*
We have a house. :) I’m tired. We moved in two loads of stuff, and I spent three hours cleaning my kitchen. Thanks to an amazing friend, I no longer have a disgusting fridge, my cupboards are sparkling and you can actually see out my kitchen window. *swoon* I’d write more, but I’m too happy/tired/exhausted to even think straight. We have a house. :)

One More Sleep*
Holy toot. Today the Hubster and I went to meet with our lawyer to sign our life away all the documents to finalize the purchase of our home. Tomorrow we go back… to get our keys. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (For some things in life, there are no words. Only exclamation marks.) I cannot believe that it’s almost here. I feel like we’ve been waiting forever for this day to come, and here it is, just one sleep away. And it’s a good thing too. Here’s what we’re currently living in… Our little pathways to walk have gotten smaller and smaller… and yet it still feels like I have a billion things left…
