A Concert & A Wedding*
This weekend was a bit insane. On Friday night the Hubster and I traveled downtown to The Four Seasons to see Colm Wilkinson. I have been listening to Colm sing since I was a little girl, and I have long loved his voice. I was so excited to go. A few years ago The Hubs bought me the 10th anniversary edition of Les Miserables with Colm Wilkinson as Jean Valjean and it’s just… magical. So, this year he found out that Colm was coming to Toronto and he bought me tickets as his anniversary gift to me. (Isn’t he just the loveliest Hubster??) I’ve had these tickets for MONTHS, and…

On Growing Lemons*
Hi dears. :) I know I’ve been a little absent of late. I traveled to the Great White North and promised to write every day… …and then read all seven Harry Potter books in three weeks instead. (I’m not an addict, I just like to finish a series once I start. More on this soon.) Things have also been a little busy around here. The Hubster is still hard at work building our beautiful new deck. He had a glorious reunion weekend with some high school friends, then his Dad came out for an unexpected visit. I’ve been reading Harry Potter night and day, and I am growing some beautiful…

We’re Here!
Well, we made it! I’m sorry for not posting yesterday–I had an extremely full day and absolutely crashed into bed at the end of it. It began with the Hubster working hard on our new deck while I worked inside the house, then he helped me catch a train and I began my trek north. I met up with a friend in Toronto, and together we took the train to B-town where we were met by Big Dad and Spart. We enjoyed a lovely evening with the fam, then attempted to turn in early in preparation for the big mother drive today. I rolled out of bed at 5:45am and…

An Update*
Hi. I’ve been away for a little while. I just… needed a break. So, I took a break. From everything. From the house, from the blog, from work. I just relaxed. And it felt so good. Well, mostly good. The flu sucked. I realize that most of the world now thinks / suspects that I’m pregnant because really–who gets the flu in the summer? Let me assure you, what I experienced last week–the chills, feverish, keep no food down flu–was actually just the flu. I know it’s going around, and if I gave it to you, I’m so sorry. I can’t help it. I like to share. haha Anyway. I’m…

Arachnophobia*
Remember that scene from Arachnophobia where the doctor comes home and finds the spiders crawling all over his walls? Let me help: Yeah. Gross, right? I hate spiders, but love the film–and that scene gives me the creepy crawlies every single time I watch it. It’s gross, but because I know it’s a cheesy 1990’s movie I can handle it. UNTIL IT HAPPENS IN MY HOUSE. …sort of. So, I’ve had the flu. Sunday was awful, yesterday was mildly better, and today I hoped it was gone–only to be beaten back down again by a new wave of symptoms. Despite this, much of my energy is back and I…
