Silly Bean*
My wee bean is a little bit silly. We’ve been cooped up in the house these past few days while she recovers from her ear infection, and I had my mandated “day of rest” yesterday. I had hoped to make it out on some kind of adventure today, but we had another long, long night last night and Ruby and I were both a little tired. Most days, Ruby still naps twice. She is usually up fairly early, then will have short nap in the morning, followed by a longer one in the afternoon. Feeling a Little Cheeky*
Ruby had a much better night last night. She still woke up several times, but I only had to hold her / rock her back to sleep once, and I was able to spend the entire night in my own bed. Her lovely antibiotics seem to be doing the trick, and I feel like we are inching back toward her regular sleep habits. So, when this morning dawned bright and sunny, I was looking forward to enjoying day #2 of my holidays. The Ear Infection*
What a difference a day can make. My little bean has been sick with a cold for the last two weeks. She was okay at first, then a bad cough took hold and slowed her down for three or four days. The Hubster and I each took a turn taking a day off of work to be with her (and recoup from the cold that we had each caught ourselves) and I ended up in a walk in clinic with her a week ago. Pink or Blue?
Tomorrow! By this time tomorrow I will (hopefully) know what sex this little peanut is! I wish I could say that I was feeling one way or the other, but the truth is: I have absolutely no clue. I haven’t even had a chance to see my good friend who swears up and down by her “ring test”. Basically you are supposed to attach a gold ring to a long string, then lay down on the floor. 19 Weeks: Almost Halfway There*
Holy smokes, I’m almost halfway through this pregnancy. I feel like just yesterday I was announcing that I was 13 weeks pregnant, and then I blinked and here I am, just shy of my halfway mark. I have been terrible at taking photos and recording updates, but here’s a peek at my 19 week bump: In just three sleeps the Hubster and I can find out if this little peanut is a boy or a girl and I am SO excited.
