Oooh I’m right down to the wire tonight–I almost missed my daily post!! That’s because I have had an insanely busy, but awesome day. I’ll be honest, when I woke up this morning I was so not looking forward to today. I loathe having class on Fridays. However, I dragged my tired body out of bed at 7am and was out the door by 9am and headed off to school. The only upside of having class on Fridays is that I get to see my wonderful teacher friends, whom I love love love. Résumé Ridiculousness*
Sweet mother of pearl, today was so long. I left for school at 9am, and didn’t get home until nearly 8pm. I am tiiiiired. I don’t start class until 1pm on Thursdays, but one of the heads of the program was offering a résumé writing workshop this morning. I had absolutely no intention of going until late last night when the Hubster suggested it might be useful, so I stayed up until 1am making a draft of an education résumé, then woke up at 7am to get ready to go. Snow Day*
Sometimes I think Hippie U is just out to spite us. I woke up this morning to an absolute winter wonderland–there was a foot of snow on the ground and huge flakes of snow were swirling down from the sky. When I saw how much snow was coming down, I thought, “Surely today must be a snow day!” Sure enough, when I checked the website that monitors weather conditions for the local public and catholic school boards, I saw that every single elementary and high school in the region had closed for the day. So, I couldn’t help but wonder… would Hippie U do the right thing and close down…

Well, as you can see, I have a new background! I had been changing it up often throughout the holidays to keep things fun, but I think I’ll keep this one for a little while. Thoughts? I’m not quite done playing with the colors, but I think I like it! haha! Today I felt very… productive. I’ve been putting the agenda the Hubster bought me for Christmas to good use and had a full day of tying up loose ends. An Explosion of Clothes*
Holy mother of pearl. The Hubster and I got home from our Christmas vacation / traveling to see our families this afternoon, and since we walked in the door until now I have been cleaning non-stop. I haven’t even had time to read my lovely little Amish books. *sigh* Christmas was a little, well, bigger for us this year as the Hubster and I did a lot of shopping.
