Three Weeks!!
Three weeks from now we’ll be all moved into our new house! Actually, three weeks from now we’ll probably be passed out somewhere on the floor, utterly exhausted. …but it will be in our new house! haha It’s almost funny… it feels like it’s SO far away, but at the same time it’s so close it’s scary! The move is always at the edge of our thoughts, and slowly but surely our cute little apartment is being packed into boxes. For the past several weeks our Saturday adventures have been to Canadian Tire and Home Depot as we plan the projects for our new house! The Hubster has bought a…

The Worst Day*
Flu: 2 — Shop Girl: 0. I thought I had kicked this beast, but last night it reared it’s ugly head once again. I barely slept, but I already had a call for today so I woke up on time and started getting ready with every intention of going to work. By 7:15am I knew there was no way that I could go to work. It’s here!! It’s finally here!! Today is the first Thursday of April which means it’s finally time to debut Dress #2 of my Six Months + Six Dresses challenge! Before I show you my new dress, I just have to say how excited I am about my Summer of Dresses project. I already have six guest bloggers lined up to show you their favourite dresses, and I’m hoping…

A Summer of Dresses*
What a difference a good night’s sleep makes. I feel refreshed. The nausea is almost completely gone, but I’m still taking it pretty easy today. I feel like I have more energy and my body doesn’t ache as badly. I almost feel normal, except for the absense of my appetite. As I’m normally starving when I wake up in the morning. So, I’m cautiously optimistic that the worst is over and that by tomorrow I’ll be my normal self. It’s been off an on since Saturday, so I’m just hoping that whatever this is doesn’t rear its ugly head one more time before it’s through. Anyway. I’ve been doing some…

The Flu*
It’s official: I have the flu. Thankfully it’s not the “coming-out-of-both-ends” flu, but rather just a no-appetite, constant nausea, hot / cold flashes, achy bones, lethargic flu. It hit me like a truck at 9pm last night. I had been flying around the apartment trying to organize our moving mess, and I stopped when the Hubster got home from work. We sat down on the couch together then BAM! It was like the flu sucker punched me in the gut. I felt so awful so fast that I actually started crying and curled up into the fetal position with a ginger ale before calling it at night at 10pm. Oh,…
