    Zombie Ants*

I love nature documentaries and videos. I realize that this probably makes me a giant nerd, but I can’t help it. I could sit want watch Planet Earth all day long, then spend the evening curled up  watching National Geographic documentaries all night. I find them incredibly interesting, and wonderfully relaxing. So, when I saw that my friend Jae had posted a short nature clip on her Facebook the other day, I clicked it immediately… and I wasn’t disappointed. Marvelous March*

I have always loved the month of March. Even though the temperatures are often still chilly, it brings the first signs of spring and signals the end of winter. I think that part of it comes from the fact that there are certain things I avoid when wearing dresses… for example, I prefer dresses that have capped or long sleeves, and my ideal length reaches just above my…

    It’s Just Not For Me*

Today I decided that I will never, ever be an intermediate teacher. (Probably.) I spent several weeks in a grade 7 classroom during my long-term placement in teacher’s college, and after I spent most of those several weeks winning them over, it wasn’t so bad. I even thought for a minute that maybe I could teach grade 7 or 8 in a good school. …then I went back to high school. I am a high school teacher, through and through. I have nothing against 12 and 13 years olds–I know several very awesome kids at that age. I just don’t like 29 of them at one time. In one room.…
