    Mean Mommy & Morning Madness*

I try hard to be a patient mom. I have three children under the age of six, so sometimes I have to dig deep to find that patience, but I can usually find my inner zen mama to get through most moments. Today my inner zen mama died and crazy mom came out. I love my children. I do. Sometimes I have to say that out loud to remind myself that I do, but I really do. They are wonderful. …except between the hours of 7 – 8:30am. Getting my children dressed and ready to get the weebean to school each morning is the BANE OF MY EXISTENCE. Oh my…

    Full Moon Rising*

I’m in a bit of denial that my little girl is turning six in three weeks. After we got the kids to bed last night, the Hubster and I collapsed on our bed and talked about our days. We got chatting about each of our children, and chuckled about something our Weebean said at dinner. It reminded us of an “incident” that happened at school last year that still has us rolling. As you know, the Weebean started in J/K last fall. Her teacher last year was a young guy, Mr. Dubs, who had been working LTOs for about as long as I have. After her initial transition that was…

    Addicted to my Phone*

I think I’m addicted to my phone. I’ve noticed since Prince Will’s birth that I spend a ridiculous amount of time on it. Part of that is because I’ve been home, and the other (big) part is because that’s what I do to “escape” for a few minutes. You know how it goes… the first thing you do in the morning is check your phone–Facebook, Instagram, email, messenger, Timehop, etc… and there goes 20 minutes. Then it’s off and on throughout the day whenever I need a “break” or I get a notification, and it’s always for longer than I say I will. And then we finally get the kids…

    The English Specialist*

Well, I survived my first specialist course! It was an obscene amount of work and was at times all-consuming, but I really learned a lot and enjoyed the experience overall. I was a little burnt out by the time the course ended in December, and was thrilled to learn that I had a glorious seven week break before course #2 began. I vegged, I watched all the TV I had missed though the fall (Manhunt: Unibomber was amazing, and Scott and Bailey was so good too!), I spent time with my family and let myself relax a bit. However, all good things must come to and end… so today I’m…

    Quarantined*

This has been a long, hard week for me. I’ve talked a little bit about it on Facebook and Instagram, but I can’t remember a time when I’ve had so much sickness roll through my house. It started last Friday night.. my beautiful weebean went to bed right as rain, and woke up at midnight sick as a dog. I can deal with a lot as a parent without batting an eye… but I reaaaally struggle with vomit. I have to steel my nerves and go to the dark place to handle it. Then the fever + not wanting to eat for DAYS started, which left me a stressed out…
