    Waiting to Exhale*

So, I’m pregnant. :) (Yay!) After having such a positive experience with midwives last time, there was absolutely no question in my mind that I wanted to go that route again. (And hopefully avoid another induction if possible.) I was thrilled when they told me that I would most likely be able to have Olivia present at my birth again. Midwives take several weeks off all at once to compensate for their crazy schedules, and Olivia’s holidays end four days before my due date. It was enough of a window that she was happy to work with me, but close enough that the practice is assigning me dual primary care,…

    The Wee-Bean: 18 Months*

My lovelies, time is going by much too fast. This morning my “small” little bean is officially a year and a half old. …what?! I hear myself telling people that, and it always makes me pause. How on earth did we get here already? Who is this big, beautiful kid running around my house? It’s been a little while since I’ve done one of these, so I thought I’d tell you all about my growing wee-bean at 18 months. :) I won’t find out her exact height / weight until her appointment on Friday, but I think she weighs around 25lbs and is right on track for her age. She loves…

    Picking Paint… Help?

Ever since I got home from PEI, I’ve been feeling really… inspired. My mother in law is an incredible decorator. While our styles are different, I love the way she has completely transformed her home. What I love most is that she uses her space so efficiently. She has antique pieces everywhere, and everything  just… fits. It all blends together to create a beautiful living space. While I was out there admiring her home, I made a big decision I’ve been hemming and hawing about for some time: it’s time to paint my living room. The Hubster and I really haven’t done much painting in our home since we moved…

    Piano Love*

Oh, I am tired. I started feeling a little off the day we left P.E.I., and by the end of this week my symptoms developed into a full blown chest cold + cough. The cold itself is not terrible, but the cough is keeping me up at night. And then of course my darling wee-bean decided that 4:30am was a glorious wake-up time today. (I disagreed, but apparently I get no say in the matter. *sigh*) She was probably just too excited after spending a wonderful day with her Auntie. My sister drove down yesterday morning and spent the day with us. It was a glorious, relaxing day. We chatted,…

    Sometimes Math is Fun*

Well, I’ve been busting to tell you guys something for a little while now… and since the family knows and it’s now on Facebook (which really makes everything “official”), I can finally tell you: I like math! As someone who finished grade 11 math with a 65% average and saw this as a major accomplishment, it’s very exciting. I guess I should be a little more specific. I like THIS math: Surprise! Baby #2 is well on his / her way. I’m just about through my first trimester, and since our families now know and I no longer feel vomitous all the time, we decided to spill the beans. And such…
