    Taken Aback*

I first heard this on perezhilton.com and was really taken aback. I’m not really politically-minded; I believe in the freedom of choice (including one’s lifestyle) and I believe that the following statements by Sally Kern are closed-minded and unfair. I do believe thats she too has the freedom to take a stand on homosexuality, but to put forth statements that are now being labeled as hate speech by many that are offensive and hurtful is just wrong. I don’t know. Take a listen HERE. She has released a statement that she stands by what she said. Thoughts? Shop Girl*

    Not in Florida*

Ugggggh….. snow. Snow snow snow. Most of Southern Ontario has been absolutely blanketed in a thick layer of sky vomit. It started a little bit last night, but came on in full force this morning. Unfortunately, my university (and many others) had planned to have their Open Houses for prospective students today. I had to go in to man a booth for my position at school, and of the 1000+ that had RSVP’d, about 100 showed up. Needless to say, it was a sloooooow day. haha! Fridates and Saturdates*

Today has been a gloriously full day. This morning I got to sleep in alllll the way until 8:15 which was FABULOUS (I’m usually up at 6:30am every day). Because our March Break is next week today was a PA day at my school so I didn’t have to teach, and I get next week off as well. I felt as though I should be productive on my morning off, so I cleaned my kitchen, dusted the living room, tidied things up and the Hubster helped me do 5 loads of laundry. Yes, five. I went on a mission to wash everything today. We did the sheets, the bathroom stuff,…

    Church Signs*

I LOVE church signs. You know, those ones on the signs outside those big churches with ‘spiritual messages’ to entice you come inside and repent of your evil ways. Anyway, I started actively reading and looking for them after I found an AMAZING one outside a church in Newmarket. I wish I had had the foresight to take a picture of it as I am now ADDICTED to reading them for their hilarious messages. Anyway, this one read: “If God had a fridge, your picture would be on it.“ HAHA! I laughed SO hard when I read it… some of them are pretty creative!! Now I look for them whenever…

  • Our Story

Chapter One* (Love At First Sight)

This is the story of how M and I met, fell in love, and were married within 8 months… …and lived happily ever after* Over the past few weeks I’ve had a number of people ask me about “our story”. By that I mean how M and I met, got engaged and were married in 8 months. :) It’s not something that I’ve ever written about in any detail, I don’t think I’ve ever recorded our engagement story on paper. So. After much ado and after some persuasion, I give you… our story. M actually noticed me first. In October of 2004 I was living in Toronto and was loving…
