    Busy, Busy, Busy*

Woooweee! Somehow a whole week has gone by and it’s almost bedtime on Saturday night again. My life in teacher’s college is highly enjoyable, but also rather insane. I’m gone almost every day from 7:30am to 7:30pm. When I finally get home, my evenings are filled with readings and assignments that I am actually doing this year–I’m trying the whole “good student” bit–which take me until nearly midnight, at which time I fall into bed, utterly exhausted. And then it begins all over again the next day! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. I’m thrilled to have a space in the program… it’s just going to be a busy…

    Celebrating Our Differences*

I’m absolutely exhausted, but I just realized that it’s the last day off August, and how could I not write something to end the month? I have had a busy, but fabulous weekend thus far. I was up early on Saturday for work and I could not believe how busy it was. There were four of us working (1 more than usual) and we didn’t stop moving. It was CRAZY, but it made the time go by really fast, which was nice. I usually come home and collapse on my bed after work (getting up before it’s even light out will do that to you…) but not yesterday! I had…

    Let’s Review*

As you know by my frenzied stressed-out posting earlier this week, I have just concluded my first week of teacher’s college and I can officially say that at this point in time… I love it. Last February I went through a bit of a crisis where I wasn’t even sure if teaching was the right path for me. The Hubster talked me through it and I decided to continue to move forward and see how I felt later in the year. When I finally received my first acceptance I expected to feel this overwhelming confirmation– that “YES! This is for me!” feeling –but I just didn’t have it. Not even…

    So. Very. Tired.

    I. am. so. tired. Holy mother of pearl… today was SO long. I had my first 8am class (ever) and had to be up at 5:30 in order to have time to shower, eat, get ready and make it on time (it takes an hour on the bus this week). That’s not SO bad, except that I had class all day and didn’t get home until 7pm or so. And I get to do it alllll again tomorrow. WOO! I still like my classes so far though. Keep your fingers crossed that they will stay good for me. haha I actually just wanted to write a quick post to let…

    Making it Last*

I started classes at my teacher’s college today. And while it was exciting to get the ball rolling and get things underway, in all honesty it didn’t REALLY feel all that different from my undergraduate classes! I’ll report more at the end of the week when I have a few more classes under my belt. But you know what is MOST exciting? From here on in, pretty well everything I do will be my “last” time doing it, at least in Senior’s City. For example: We just celebrated our last anniversary we’ll spend in this city. Today was my last “first day of school” as a student. This is our…
