Memory Lane*
I can’t believe I went the WHOLE weekend without blogging. I don’t think that I’ve done that since January!! In my defense, it has been a busy weekend. On Friday we left to go to visit the Hubs’ family for the night to celebrate his birthday! It’s actually a little early–he doesn’t turn the big 2-5 until next Saturday. We had a lovely evening with them, then on Saturday morning we went to his cousin’s wedding! Spart picked us up in The City and then drove us back to B-Town, where we spent Saturday night with my family. We went to support my Dad as we was called as Bishop…

No News is Good News?
So… remember how I told you yesterday that I would know what the heck I’m doing next year today? Yep. Not so much. haha! I waited alllllllllll day. No email. No phone call. No personal visit begging me to be a part of their program. *sigh* I did call the office, and it looked as though the guy I had spoken with wasn’t even in the office today… so I’m hoping I’ll hear on Monday. If not, I’ll call every 10 minutes until I know. :) On a happier note, my faith in humanity was restored today. Remember George? My sweet little Italian bus driver that makes me smile every…

One Day More*
I sometimes feel like I haven’t been putting enough “me” in my blog these days… I absolutely love telling my story of how I met the Hubster, but that was me 3 years ago. There’s quite a bit going on with the me in the present that I should probably be writing about. Tomorrow I find out if I will be accepted to Hippie U and whether or not I’ll be able to stay with my Hubs next year. I know I told you that I didn’t get in and was heading to River City for teacher’s college, but the Hubster and I decided to fight for it about 3…

Be Prepared*
Today I actually lived my old Girl Guide motto: Always be prepared. As I am an avid CBC.ca reader, the constant news about the economic situation of the U.S. has been on my mind quite a bit of late. And just for the record– if you are not yet a person who reads the news at least on a weekly (preferably daily) basis, I urge you to reconsider. I know it can sometimes be depressing or time-consuming, but I’ve learned that it’s really important to stay informed about what is going on in the world. So find a media outlet you enjoy (internet, newspaper, TV, radio, etc) and make an…

Undergrad = COMPLETE*
Sooooo…… you know who is no longer an undergraduate student? GUESS. ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday, April 19th, at 4:03pm I handed in my last undergraduate exam ever and completed my degree. I cannot even describe the euphoria I felt as I walked out of the athletics complex (where the exams were held) and out into the beautiful, beautiful sunshine knowing that I never ever ever have to write a 38 page essay again. *swoon* It still hasn’t completed sunk in that there is nothing left to do, but I cannot wait for that feeling. I’m hoping it will come tomorrow after I leave work and don’t have to go to class, or…
