Teacher Shop Girl is Tiiiiiiiired*
Oh. my. gosh. I have discovered a whoooooole new kind of tired. I mean, there’s tired, there’s really tired, there’s exhausted, and then there’s what I’m feeling right now. If you slapped my face on that girl up there, it preeeeetty much sums up how I feel right now. haha! Today was my first day in Grade 7. It’s a class of about 25 kids, and the ratio of girls to boys is pretty even. I went in prepared to have a day similar to my first day in my last placement, where I did a lot of sitting and observing. So, I wore “sitting shoes” (shoes that I hadn’t…

I Did It!!
As I sit down at my desk with my laptop to write I can’t help but shift my eyes to the window every three seconds to watch the snow. For the first time in a long time, I actually think that the snow looks really really pretty. It’s not blowing sideways and it isn’t so thick that I can’t see the buildings across the street. There are just these enormous flakes falling, gently covering absolutely everything in an endless sea of white. No More Teachers, No More Books*
Well, I’m about 20 minutes late–but technically it’ still today for me so I’m counting it as my daily post. :) I’m absolutely exhausted (I actually fell asleep on the futon and just woke up) but today was my very last day of teachers college classes. The past 5 months have been utterly exhausting and stressful… …but also absolutely wonderful. I’ve grown in ways I didn’t know possible and have learned so much. I can’t believe it flew by so quickly! On Monday I begin teaching Grade 7… eek! Wish me luck! Shop Girl* P.s. Happy birthday K & Miss Gentle Nudge!!!!

A Wonderfully Unproductive Saturday*
I love Saturdays. It is really the only day of the week that is absolutely free. Monday – Fridays are full of school & assignments, and Sunday is church and preparing for the week ahead. Saturday is just Saturday. I like that. So, in my head I like to plan out how I’ll spend them… you know, so I can use my time wisely and be really productive. This is how I planned out today: 8:00 – Wake up 9:00 – Gym 12:00 – Lunch with the Hubster 2:00 – Clean apartment 3:00 – Laundry 5:00 – Dinner 6:00 – Complete assignments due next week. 10:00 – Bed So very…

I Heart My Friends*
I just got back from a wonderful After-Christmas Christmas party with a group of my oh-so-wonderful teacher’s college friends. We ate, we laughed, we cried, we danced and sang Spice Girls, Journey and Mr. Big at the top of our lungs. Right now I am exhausted and need to sleep. But today I am thankful for good friends. :) Shop Girl*
