It’s a Sign*
I love signs that are incorrect. You know, business signs that have lights go out, or when neighborhood hooligans steal letters to make signs spell something funny. For example, for the longest time I shopped at the Price Chooper. Now I shop at the Rice Choooer. Apparently Price Chopper doesn’t fix their signs. When Too Kool, Phee, the Hubs and I were driving around looking for a restaurant on the weekend, we passed my current favourite: Mark’s Work Warhouse. My all-time favourite though, was that our library in town read ‘Senior’s City Pubic Library’ for nearly 6 months before it was fixed. haha Seriously, how classy is that? It’s right…

I love Grade 2*
Today was my first real day in the classroom as a literacy/numeracy tutor. Last year my job was a little different, I was teaching 6 students at a time a separate curriculum heavily based on literacy skills in a separate classroom and had very little interaction with the teachers or other students. However, THIS year I am right in the class and am somewhat of a student teacher! I was a little apprehensive when I learned that I would be working in a grade 2 classroom as I prefer working with older students, but after my experience today I am 90% converted. I now see why so many people apply…
