I didn’t get the job.
Actually, there isn’t even a job to be had anymore… but I don’t really feel like explaining tonight. It sucks, I’m bummed, but I’ll tell you tomorrow. Anyway, it’s Thrifty Thursday!
When I started thrift shopping, it was just for books. I was looking to expand my Nancy Drew collection and decided to try thrift stores as yard sailing is significantly more difficult in the fall / winter. While I was perusing through the book shelves I looked up and saw shoes off in the distance. Lots and lots of shoes.
I thought, it couldn’t hurt to look, right?
That was when I found my beautiful Nine West black pumps that I love with all my heart. And that’s also when my thrift store adventures began!
I started going once every week or two just to browse around and see if I could find any treasures. At first it was just books and shoes–the clothing racks just seemed so overwhelming. There was so much.
…but then I tried it. Annnnnnnd I found these:
Brand new Guess jeans–tags still on–for $7. I fell in love with them immediately. They are by far the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn… the denim is so soft! I obviously trolled around the internet to see what they would have cost originally, and while I can’t find the exact pair on the Guess website anymore, a similar pair is selling for $108 right now.
So I think I got a bit of a bargain. :)
I thought about throwing them on and taking a photo for my Thrift Store Adventures facebook album, but I’m not really in the mood for photos tonight. I’ll take one on the weekend for you.
Don’t forget to check out Mummy Maggie’s Thrifting Thursdays post–she found some beautiful vintage pyrex that I am seriously coveting. If you’re interested in starting Thrifty Thursday post segment on your blog, let me know! :)
