New Netbook*

I love sales. I also love boxing day. I’m pretty sure that Boxing Day sales are pretty much my favourite thing ever.

Especially when they result in new super cute little netbooks! (on which I’m writing to you now. obvs.) The Hubster and I shopped around and found a faboosh deal online through Best Buy… the only downside being that I had to wait a week to get my new toy tool for working. Working hard.

I debated back and forth between a netbook and an Ipad, and (obviously) I decided on the netbook.  I really like the idea of an Ipad, but I just don’t know how practical it would be for me. I’m definitely a “keyboard person” (Touch screens will be the death of me. Blackberry = ❤) and by the time I picked up the Ipad, keyboard and case, it would have cost me a fortune… and I would have had to lug it all around with me. It just wasn’t worth the hassle.

I have wanted one of these for a while–I have a fabulous Lenovo laptop that I love dearly, but it’s larger, heavier and has everything on it. I wanted something that I could toss in my “teacher bag” and take with me to work so that I can write during my prep periods. For the past several weeks I’ve been writing my book in a notebook at work then typing it all out when I get home, so I’m very excited to be able to take this with me!

I know I probably could just taken my big laptop to work, but if I ever lost or damaged it, or if some idiot kid stole it, I’d be devastated.

Besides, my teacher bag is heavy enough as it is. Word searches and rebus puzzles aren’t light, you know.

I know some of you probably think I’m crazy for passing on the Ipad (the Hubster said it was my decision… isn’t he lovely?), but I know I’d just play Angry Birds all the time and show it off before some hooligan stole it.

Besides, I think my little blue netbook is cuter. :)
