It’s Friday. :)
Even though I was off for most of the week, I still love the sound of Friday… and I love knowing the my alarm won’t go off at 6:08am tomorrow morning.
(Even though I’ll still wake up at that time anyways. Dang internal clock…)
As I spent nearly two hours wresting with an online Employment Insurance application, I’m going to save the wondrous story I had planned to write for another day. I think the last of today’s wit and charm died somewhere in the pile of pay stubs I just poured over.
I thought tonight was a perfect night for the next installment of the 30 day challenge:
Day 04 – A picture of your night.
Rather than just one picture, I thought I’d take you on a little photo story, and let’s see if you can put it all together…
The End. :)
I almost missed my post tonight! I was going to write earlier, but then the Hubster and I sat down and played a game a crib, and we’re now curled up in bed watching The Edge.
As I’m short on time, I thought I’d do another task for my 30 day challenge!
Day 03 – A picture of the cast from your favorite show.
Well, that’s an easy one. I have one show that I love more than all others and have forever:
LOVE this show. If you have not watched this show on a semi-regular basis you are SO missing out. It is hilarious, so clever and the cast is amazing. I own all 11 seasons and watch them regularly.
But, seeing as it’s an older show and isn’t on the air anymore, I decided to do my favourite current TV show as well… which was a lot harder. I’ve really cut back on how much TV I watch, and the shows I watch now I absolutely love. But I narrowed it down to two that I can’t choose between:
Glee. Amazing. Enough said. And a more recent addition to the favourites club…
The Hubster and I just started watching this show and I LOVE it. It’s absolutely brilliant and absolutely hysterical. Love love love.
Well, there you have it my lovelies! What are your fav shows?
I have no job news for you. I waited all day for a call, but I still have no information. No news is still good news, right?
…but I have been booked to teach English there for the next two days. Good sign? Let’s hope so.
So, as I don’t have anything exciting to share with you tonight, I thought I’d tackle day 2 of the 30 Day Challenge:
30 Day Challenge #2 – A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest
I flip flopped back and forth over whether or not to use a family photo, but you already know we’re all very close. So, I opted to go with a photo of a person that I will always consider as one of my best friends.
We met when we were 12, and were best friends all through high school. We don’t get to see each other nearly as often as I’d like these days as we live four hours apart, but we have the type of friendship that it doesn’t matter how long the spaces in between our visits are, we can always pick up right where we left off.
She is one of the most energetic, fun, intelligent, creative and hilarious people I know. You just can’t help but love her. :)
I’ll let you know if I hear any news tomorrow… fingers crossed!
Every so often, a new facebook meme starts up and 75% of the people on my personal list start following whatever it is. So my news feeds is inundated with notes, photos and status updates fulfilling whatever the new meme has demanded of us.
I’ve resisted for the most part. I ignored all the breast cancer status update gimics. No one on my list knows what color of bra I’m wearing or where I put my purse. I also ignored the doppleganger photo thing.
And, until now, I’ve ignored the 30 Day Facebook Challenge. It was all the rage a little while ago, and it was actually kind of neat to learn some new things about people I’ve known for ages. So, I’ve decided to do it, but I’m going to do it here instead of Facebook. I have the full list, and rather than do one every day, I’m going to spread it out over the next few weeks.
30 Day Challenge #1 – A picture of yourself with ten facts*
1) I have a “Brady Bunch” family that I love. Three boys & three girls. I’m the fourth child, though I’ve never really thought of myself as the quintessential “middle child”.
2) I’m pretty sure that I have some sort of an anxiety disorder.
3) I have never owned a passport (though I hope to change that soon!).
4) I love teaching, but my ultimate career goal is to be an author.
5) I am a people-pleaser and I almost always put the needs / wants of others ahead of my own.
6) I feel like I’ve taken on too much between work, school and church but I’m not sure how to balance my life. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed that I make myself sick.
7) I am never satisfied with my hair and I change it constantly.
8) Torn by Natalie Imbruglia is my favourite song in the entire world. I never ever get sick of it.
9) I think that I am an even mix between my mom and dad. I can never decide who I am more like.
10) I’m turning 26 in five months and it terrifies me.
So, there you have it. By the end of this you’ll all know me so well we can all be besties! WOO!
