That’s how much I weigh at this very minute. 147.0 lbs. I have decided, as one of my goals for 2007, to try and get down to 135.0 lbs within the next few months. It’s still in my healthy weight range, and I think it’s doable. So every Monday I will track my progress and hopefully will be able to shed the pounds over the next little while.
I went for a run today, for the first time in a long time. We have a b-e-a-uuutiful park near us and believe it or not, I’ve always been too nervous to go in there by myself. When we moved here I was told by a few people that our little city has a bad history & high number of previous sexual predators/offenders living here because we’re kind of remote. Anyway, so I’ve always been nervous to go in because it’s HUGE and absolutely littered with trails, and I’m a huge scaredy-cat. But I bit the bullet and ran in there today, and… wow. It’s SO peaceful. The trails are incredible (even though I saw very little of them) and there is a creek that runs through it right beside the trail. I’m hooked. I can’t believe I was ever nervous to go in there.
Well, I am so out of shape it’s not even funny, but I pushed myself to go and ran 1.5km pretty well. The Hubster bought me a pedometer a while ago, so I’ll be able to track how far I’m running. It’s a small start–but hey, you’ve got to start somewhere, right? I’ve decided that that is how I’d like to lose the weight/tone up my body. I want to get running, do some ab workouts, and eat better. So that’s my plan, and hopefully I can stick to it.
