    Oh, Stuff*

Okay. Let’s get down to business. First of all: I did it. I cut my hair. Last Saturday morning I went in to see my favourite stylist and let her chop off about 4 inches of my skinny hair. It’s now sitting just below my shoulders and is full of layers! I also decided to go with full on bangs at the front, and so far, I love it. It’s still long enough that I can put it up if I need to, and it’s less… blah than before. Win. (I know I should probably post a picture. Let me actually do it first. ha) We also spent the weekend…

    Skinny Hair*

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you’ll know that for the past several weeks I’ve been complaining about my hair. I normally have thick, semi-curly hair that I actually quite like. I complain about it from time to time when I get bored with the style, but in general I love my hair. It is usually obedient and does what I want it to. A Wee-Bean Story (Part 3)*

At 5pm Dr. Evil reappeared with another whirlwind of nurses. He told me he wanted to examine me again, but I immediately knew that this examination would be different when I realized there were nurses on either side of me, ready to help hold me still if need be. By this point the effects of the gel had long since worn off and my body was finally progressing though labor on its own. He let me…

    The Wee-Bean*

Hi dears. Woo wee! I really didn’t mean to let three weeks go by between posting, but it’s been a little busy around here. :) If I am able to turn my computer on once every few days it’s a miracle, and even then it’s usually just for a few minutes before something else requires my attention. So, I decided to get creative. I found a handy little wordpress app for my phone, so I’m going to try writing from here for the time being and see how it goes! As I type I have a (not so) little wee-bean snuggled against my chest. She is nearly 4 weeks old,…

    Looking Back: 2011*

New Year’s Eve. I distinctly remember feeling flabbergasted that 2010 was ending last year, and I feel the same way about 2011 tonight. This past year has been an absolute blur. At the beginning of the month my book club hosted its annual Cookie Exchange. Last year we read The Christmas Cookie Club by Ann Pearlman and we fell in love with the concept. Instead of just exchanging cookies, you are supposed to choose a recipe that reflects the year you’ve had in some way. As I began to look back on 2011, I realized that this year has been full of unexpected, but happy changes. Here are just a…
