Six Months + Six Dresses (4)
It’s dress day!!
And I’m even on time this month. Isn’t that splendid?
I know I’ve been neglecting you for the past few days–I’m sorry. We’ve been hard at work transforming our back yard of dirt into a backyard of smooth dirt!
With grass seed.
(I have pictures, don’t you fret.)
(Because I know everyone wants to see photos of dirt.)
So, this month I tried to give myself a little challenge: find something with colour. My first three dresses were black or mostly black, so I tried to find something completely different. Something fun and light. After searching high and low, I saw a cute little green dress on the rack at The Salvation Army. I hemmed and hawed about whether or not to try it on, and even after I had it on I hemmed and hawed over whether or not I really liked it.
To be honest, I’m still not sure. But when I saw that it was only $4, I decided to get it anyway. :)
I give you: The Green Dress*
It’s summery and fun, but I feel a bit like a leprechaun in it. haha! I’m also afraid that I’m now “too old” to wear dresses in this style…
But, c’est la vie! It’s not black, and I think it’ll be fun for shopping or a lunch date.
Thoughts?

I like it. I love colour especially for the summer! Definitely not too young!

You are certainly not too old (as that would also make me too old) and you look adorable!

Hi, I just found your site. I like your dress challenge and love thrift shopping. What happened to dresses #5 and 6?

Hi Heather!
I found out that I was pregnant two days after posting this, and found that dresses were a little harder to fit my changing body! I’d like to either restart or finish this challenge this coming summer as I lose all the baby weight. :)
