Six Minutes*
Six minutes.
It’s not a long time. A brief phone conversation, a hurried meal, a walk across a parking lot.
If someone told me that I had only six minutes to complete a task, my first thought would probably be:
“That’s not enough time.”
I waste six minutes every day. Probably each hour.
It’s not a long time, but six minutes can change the world.
In six minutes, the world did change for everyone living in Kesennuma City in Japan. In six minutes, a city was destroyed. In six minutes lives were changed forever.
I wish I had the words to appropriately convey what I felt as I watched that video. I sat with my jaw hanging open, unable to grasp what I was seeing.
Six minutes, and a world changed forever.
