I had the most marvellous day. This week has been insane. I seriously felt like I was drowning beneath the million things I had to do, and as each day melted into the next I felt like it was impossible to keep up. When I finally left work on Friday and realized that I had two days that were just mine to do with as I please, it was absolutely exhilarating. As people have learned that my beautiful little nephew has finally made his appearance, the first question I am always asked is: “What did they name him?” I think we all have a slight fascination with names… really, a name is so much more than just a name. It’s an identity. Thrifty… Friday?
So. Let’s play a game. Let’s pretend that today isn’t really Thursday… let’s say it’s still… Wednesday. Which means that tomorrow will be Thursday. Happy Heart Day*
Today the Hubster and I celebrated our 7th Valentine’s Day together, and I think it was one of my favourite ones ever. I think it’s safe to say that I had a rough day yesterday. After a long night (during which time little actual sleeping occurred) I awoke to supportive comments, emails and messages offering help and encouragement. Thank you for that. On a day were love is meant to be celebrated and shared, I certainly felt yours. And it meant the world to me. I have more to say on this, but that’s for another post. Today was just… perfect. Lightening Up*
As I was thinking about which TV shows I would include in last night’s post, I realized just how much my TV habits have changed. To begin with, I am watching significantly less TV than ever. I’ve really cut back on what I’m watching, and I’m not wasting my time with shows that I don’t absolutely love. Some of my favs that made the cut are Hoarders, Glee, and I’m testing the waters with American Idol this year. So far I am hearting the Steven Tyler + Jennifer Lopez combination. I’ve also changed the type of TV shows I watch. I used to be obsessed with any type of “crime”…
