New Year’s Eve*
I’ve always loved the idea of New Years Eve. The parties, the music, the clothes… I’ve always thought it was such a glamorous holiday. When I was a little girl I always imagined myself dressing up and spending my evening at a fabulous party to ring in the new year. However, having now done the whole party bit once or twice–it’s fun, but not for me. At least not every year. My family had some New Year’s Eve traditions that carried on through the years. Hallelujah*
As you well know, I love music. It moves me. It takes a lot for a book or movie to make me cry, but the right piece of music? Ohh, I’m done. I also love creative music and interesting or beautiful remixes, and this morning my mom introduced me to a song that I instantly loved. Lenoard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” is one of my all-time favourite songs, and Kelley Mooney reworked the song with new lyrics and it’s absolutely beautiful. Starting Over*
On Sunday I had two separate people ask me about my blog, and that evening we watched a movie that revolved around a theme of journal writing. …I think someone was trying to send me a message. ;) Somehow I let a whole month go by without writing here once. Life has been unbelievably busy, hectic and full. My work schedule increased, my responsibilities with church seemed never ending, and let’s not even talk about the state of my house over the past few weeks. In between it all, the Hubster’s parents flew in for a visit, I tried to finish my Christmas shopping and baking, and even squeezed in…
