Merry Christmas*

I haven’t been very good at writing this week, it’s simply been too busy. I don’t even think I turned my computer on yesterday, let alone have time to write in here. I don’t think my entry tonight will be long either as I am very tired and hope to be in bed fairly early.

Let me begin by saying that Christmas was wonderful. I don’t think it could’ve been better. I spent several days with my family, ate entirely too much, sang carols, played games, ate some more and Teep even complained that Christmas sucked. It was perfect. :) We spent until this morning with my family, then after opening gifts and a big breakfast the Hubster and I traveled to his family’s home to have another Christmas here! I am so grateful that our families live close enough that we are able to see both and don’t need to choose one or the other. It just wouldn’t be Christmas without my family’s craziness.

I’ll make sure to write in more detail about our holiday, but I think what stood out the most to me was that this trip I finally felt like the Hubster felt comfortable with my family and came out of his shell. Things haven’t always been great between him and some of my family but I really noticed that my siblings really made an effort to reach out to him and get to know him (and vice versa on his part) and it meant the world to me. Seeing him interact and be himself with my family was really the best Christmas gift I could’ve ever possibly received. Mind you, the Little House on the Prarie DVD set and vegetable steamer Spart gave me comes at a close second. haha :) Every time we’ve come home together I always feel like I’m on pins and needles making sure that everyone gets along, but I was able to relax and enjoy every single aspect of this holiday and it was absolutely fabulous.

Anyway, I’ll write in more detail later– it was a holiday that I don’t want to forget. I hope everyone out there had a wonderful, wonderful Christmas (or any other holiday that you may celebrate).
