Today the Hubster and I went to meet with our lawyer to sign our life away all the documents to finalize the purchase of our home.
Tomorrow we go back… to get our keys.
(For some things in life, there are no words. Only exclamation marks.)
I cannot believe that it’s almost here. I feel like we’ve been waiting forever for this day to come, and here it is, just one sleep away. And it’s a good thing too. Here’s what we’re currently living in…
Our little pathways to walk have gotten smaller and smaller… and yet it still feels like I have a billion things left to pack. Of course, I’m also having the best week ever at work–a four day for the same teacher gig at my favourite school–but it only leaves me with my evenings for packing.
And obviously I’ll spend all of tomorrow evening dreamily walking around my new house and get absolutely nothing accomplished.
Except dreaming, of course.
(And that’s important too.)
To everyone who responded to my stress-induced plea for help–THANK YOU. A few wonderful people reached out and are coming to help us on Saturday. It really means the world to me, especially since our moving company canceled our truck on Saturday.
Yeah, that happened.
Thankfully we have two pick-ups and a large trailer and with a couple of trips I think we can do this quickly! I’m just so excited to be on the other side of this move, and with everyone’s help I hope that we can get through this by noon. :)
Well, the next time you hear from me we’ll be homeowners… as in, we’ll own a house.
