    Daylight Savings Crime*

I have officially fallen off the bandwagon. I have missed posting two days this month. *hangs head in shame* I have decided to blame it on daylight savings time. After all, something needs to be at fault for that, and it couldn’t possibly be me. Nope. No way, hosée. Somehow this pushing forward of time has affected my whole daytime pattern and I no like it. On some basic level I understand the concept of the “springing forward”, but I haaaaaate losing the light in the morning. I’d much rather keep my sunshine at 7am and enjoy the dusk at 6pm. Last week it was sooo nice having daylight shine…

    Inspiration*

Some days I am so full of inspiration for a great blog idea I can barely wait to get to my little laptop and start writing. But then there are also those days, like tonight, when my brain is as blank as the little white box I’m supposed to start typing in. I’ve been waiting here for nearly an hour waiting for some divine intervention to deliver me a fabulous blog post… and… …nope. So, here is my question–to all you wonderful bloggers out there (whose blogs I looove to read): where do you find your inspiration for each post? And, if you’ve been reading for a while, what would…

    The Uniboob*

The origin of this concept actually goes all the way back to grade 10; way back to my good friend Kyddo* and her grey zip up sweater. One particularly cold day in grade 10 when our old school was more drafty than usual, Kyddo decided to zip her sweater all the way up–past the traditional half-zip, all the way up to her chin. As she slowly warmed up she glanced down at her chest only to realize there was something not quite right with the zipper on her sweater. The zipper curved out, leaving an enormous bulge on her chest… creating the appearance of “The Uniboob“. The zipper somehow made…

    Bathing Suit Adventures*

I didn’t post yesterday. :( I managed to post every day for over two months, but last night I was just too tired. I came home from school, had a two hour nap, woke up, had dinner and spent some time with the Hubs before we both passed out without meaning to. I woke up at 4am with all the lights still on, make-up still on and I was not in my jammies. I sleepily closed everything down, brushed my teeth and climbed back into bed and slept until 9am. In total I slept nearly 12 hours, and here it is, 9pm, and I’m already ready for bed again. haha!…

    Bill Nye*

For the most part, I don’t enjoy lesson planning. I love teaching, but I don’t like the prepping part. It’s long, boring and tedious and usually not fun. Usually. I have been teaching a unit on climate in Geography–a subject I have not taken since I was in grade 9. It has been a big challenge for me as I am learning as I teach and most days I feel like I’m only staying about 5 minutes ahead of my kids. So, I have been leaning on external sources to increase my own knowledge and supplement my lessons. Tonight I rediscovered Bill Nye… and fell in love all over again.…
